Leadership Programs
There are many opportunities at Greensborough Primary School for our students to develop leadership skills.

School Captains At the beginning of the year our School Captains, one boy and one girl from Grade 6, are selected. The School Captains perform a variety of duties over the year and the positions are considered integral to the effective operation of the school.

Junior School Council Junior School Council is made up of two elected students from each grade. These students regularly attend meetings to swap ideas and information. The JSC arrange whole school activities to fundraise for selected charities, as well as helping to make decisions and to set the tone of the school.

House Captains and Vice Captains All students are allocated into four houses on entry to the school: Acacia (Yellow), Grevillea (Red), Banksia (Green), and Eucalyptus (Blue). Each year all students in the school elect two House Captains and two Vice-Captains for each House for these leadership roles.

Buddy Program
All Prep and Grade 1 children are matched with a Grade 5 or 6 student and are involved in weekly cross-age classroom sessions where they complete tasks together. "Big Buddies" and "Little Buddies" also look out for one another in the playground. The Buddy Program helps the prep child's transition into the school environment and benefits the social development of both the preps and the older children.
