School Council

The School Council is an excellent opportunity to get involved and have a say in the school’s future direction. Members of School Council are responsible for preparing the plans and policies that govern our school, using the Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development Policy Guidelines.

School Council elections are held in February each year, and vacant positions are communicated to the school community via the school newsletter. Parents and carers can nominate themselves using the forms provided at the school office. Elections are then held if required. Council positions are either of 1 or 2 years duration.

School Council is comprised of the following subcommittees :

  • Education
  • Finance
  • Publicity & Marketing
  • OSHC
  • Buildings & Grounds
  • Sustainability

School Council meetings and subcommittee meetings are held monthly.

If you would like to raise an issue at a School Council meeting, it is advisable to put it in writing and present it two weeks prior to the meeting date. This allows it to be added to the meeting agenda.

If you would like to get involved please contact the Principal for more information.
